Covering Sawtry, Glatton, Conington, Upton, the Giddings, Holme and Winwick

CARESCO is the organisation behind the popular Sawtry Eye magazine which is published on alternate months (Feb, April, June, Aug, Oct & Dec), and distributed to every house in Sawtry, Glatton, Conington, Upton, the Giddings, Holme and Winwick (over 3300 copies) by a team of distributors.

The Sawtry Eye is the best source of local community news and views for those who live in and around Sawtry, as well as being the ideal place to advertise events and local businesses. Click here to read past issues from Oct-Nov08 onwards. For more information, please download our leaflet.

Originally started by the Sawtry Parish Clerk in Autumn 1988, the Sawtry Eye has grown from a small A5 booklet to a significant A4 magazine over the years. The CARESCO Printshop produced the printed copies for distribution. CARESCO took over the editing in 1996 when it became too time-consuming for the Parish Clerk to manage alone. The layout for each issue is produced by a volunteer graphic designer.

Please Support CARESCO

Sawtry Eye is published by CARESCO as a service to the community of Sawtry and relies the support of our commercial advertisers to cover the costs of production. Any profit made is put straight back into the organisation to help support our other services to the community.

Please get in touch if you would like to get involved, or click here to find out more about how you can help support the work of CARESCO.
