Sawtry Man Cave

COVID 19 Update - 22/04/21

How Are We Doing? At CARESCO we have been working hard throughout the pandemic to continue supporting local people. This included setting up a new service specifically dealing with needs caused by the national restrictions and the need for people to isolate or shield. We are currently reviewing this work and asking people to let us know about their experiences of our service over the past year or so. Could you please give a couple of minutes to complete our anonymous online questionnaire? Alternatively, you can download a pdf version to print and complete by hand.

As restrictions begin to lift, we are delighted to reopen our Charity Shop and restart the Green End Day Club once more. Please look out for future announcements regarding our other activities.

Click here for full details of the current government restrictions in place to control the number of Covid cases. We can all do our bit to stop Covid in its tracks and help continue to bring virus levels down. Approximately 1 in 3 people who have coronavirus have no symptoms and could be spreading it without realising it.

Remember - ‘Hands - Face - Space - Fresh Air’

  • Hands – wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds
  • Face – wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet
  • Space – stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings)
  • Fresh Air - the more fresh air there is to breathe, the less likely a person is to inhale infectious particles
  • You should continue to avoid all non-essential meetings and interactions.

The government's full guidelines on keeping safe can be found here.

CARESCO continues to manage the local volunteer Sawtry Covid Response Team who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to support local people during lockdown and the ongoing restrictions. For details of the amazing service they have been providing, you can click here to see some of the stats involved from the end of March 2020 until August 2020. Thank you to this amazing team.
