COVID 19 Update - 16/10/20

Please continue to follow current government guidelines and together we can beat this!

Help control the virus. To protect yourself and others, when you leave home you must:

  • wash hands - keep washing your hands regularly
  • cover face - wear a face covering over your nose and mouth in enclosed spaces
  • make space - stay at least a metre away from people not in your household
  • If you are feeling unwell - get a test and do not leave home for at least 10 days.

CARESCO continues to manage the local volunteer Sawtry Covid Response Team who have worked tirelessly over the past few months to support local people during lockdown and the ongoing restrictions. From the end of March until August 2020, they have provided an amazing service, click here for more details.

We are pleased to announce that our Green End Day Club, the Sawtry Car Scheme and our Chatterbox have now reopened in line with current government guidance. Our Coffee Shop has now also restarted within the guidelines for cafes including social distancing, groups of no more than six and face coverings being worn at all times when customers are not seated.

All our activities will need to operate under the current restrictions and therefore will necessarily be different to how they were before lockdown, however we are happy to be welcoming people back. Please check ahead for details.

Unfortunately, our Alconbury Thursday Club and Sounds Good groups will remain closed for the time being, while the Sawtry Man Cave are currently having building work done on their workshop and so will be closed while there are workmen on the premises.

Our Charity Shop is open. Please note our new procedures for both making donations and also when shopping to help keep everyone safe. Please call 01487 208026 to book in your donation.

Sawtry Foodbank is continuing to serve those who need the support. They can be contacted on 07743 593863 or emailed at .

The Sawtry Eye magazine for October - November 20 has been published as usual and delivered house-to-house in the normal way. The Eye is also available to download from the Sawtry Eye page along with back issues to October 2008.
